The 40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in thier own neighborhoods, for their friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end to abortion around the world.

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the tragedy of abortion through the use of a three-point program:

"Find the courage to proclaim Christ, and the unchanging truths which have their foundation in Him. These are the truths that set us free! They are the truths which alone can guarantee respect for the inalienable dignity and rights of each man, woman and child in our world - including the most defenseless of all human beings, the unborn child in the mother's womb."

~ Pope Benedict XVI
