Standing Vigil
The visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life Memphis is a consecutive 40 day, 13 hour a day vigil outside Planned Parenthood in our community. Those who are called to stand witness maintain a peaceful and educational presence. 40 Days for Life makes sure it is both legal and safe. The vigil begins at 6:00 am and goes until 7:00 pm, with at least two people present at all times praying for those inside the facility and those thinking of having an abortion.

We encourage everyone who desires to participate in the 40 Days of prayer and fasting to also take a time to stand vigil. To sign up for a time to stand vigil, please take a moment and fill out our Statement of Peace online. This form must be completed before your committed time at the vigil.
