How to Bring Adopt a Day to Your Church
Approach your pastor, ask if you can take on the challenge of filling a day next week. We need YOU to step forward and help us fill the sidewalk with volunteers prepared to Pray to End Abortion.
To see which days have already been adopted, contact us at 40DaysforLifeRenoTahoe@gmail.com or leave a message at (775) 410-PRAY and we will let you know if the day(s) you prefer are available. We encourage larger churches to select a day of the week to fill through-out the campaign.

Plan on making announcements at your church 2 weeks in advance of your first adopted day on the sidewalk, as well as having announcements placed in the church bulletin. On the weekend when the announcements are made, have tables set up at the end of each Mass / Church Service requesting people sign-up for a specific time slot at the sidewalk, using the Vigil Sign-up Sheets. If someone would like to assist, but cannot come on the day you have adopted, please take their information, as well as the date & time when they can come. Volunteers are welcome any day or time when they are available to assist, not merely on the day your church has adopted.
You will want to request a Statement of Peace from each volunteer.
You may also want to have on-hand a copy of our Vigil Etiquette document which walks through how to conduct yourself when representing Christ on the sidewalk of the abortion site.
After you have held your Sign-up Day, contact us at 40DaysforLifeRenoTahoe@gmail.com and we will make arrangements to get your sign-up sheets and Statements of Peace, which we will keep on file, in case there are any problems. If you have a scanner, you can scan and email your forms to us. If not we will arrange to have them picked up if you are unable to drop them off to us. Church Coordinators
As the Church Coordinator, you coordinate the Adopt-A-Day effort at your church, and coordinate the volunteers to make your day at the sidewalk successful. We will do what we can to make your effort a success by providing the forms that will help you in the process. We will also communicate by email on a periodic basis with your volunteers once you have turned in your paperwork, helping them to better appreciate the value of what they are doing at the sidewalk. This is especially exciting when we have a save at the sidewalk to announce.

We have made large 18" x 24" posters on Foam Core boards to help you attract attention to your Adopt-A-Day sign-up table. Be certain to attend a leadership team meeting to pick-up yours. Contact us for details of the next meeting.
