40 Days for Life campaign opens February 13 in 261 locations
It's official! The first 40 Days for Life campaign of 2013 will take place in 261 locations from coast to coast in the United States and Canada ... plus cities in England, Australia, Poland and Spain -- and for the first time ever in Nigeria, South Africa, Wales ... and Russia!
Just click the map above to find the location nearest you! When you get to that page, click the city name to learn how you can volunteer to take part in the campaign. There was going to be a 262nd location -- but the abortion center there closed its doors!
Abortion center closes two weeks before campaign starts
We were about to announce the launch of campaigns in 262 locations ... but we lost one.
Doesn't sound like good news? Well, the reason there will not be a campaign in that 262nd city -- Lima, Ohio -- is that the local abortion center shut down this week ... and PERMANENTLY went out of business. Praise God!
"We called the Capital Care abortion center," said one of the volunteers, "and they said they were 'all done in Lima' and not taking appointments."
"We were a little skeptical, but we went out to pray," she said. "At the end of the day, one of the abortion workers started throwing furniture from the abortion center in the dumpster! They were taking boxes out of the building and putting them in their car. It was a wonderful sight!"
Faithful Christians have held FOUR 40 Days for Life vigils in front of that abortion center in Lima, Ohio. "God has heard the prayers of all those who have been praying and witnessing to life," said the volunteer.
This now makes 27 abortion centers that have gone out of business following peaceful 40 Days for Life vigils outside their doors. To God be the glory!
If you've not taken part in 40 Days for Life before, we hope this shows you what can happen when you put your trust in God and step forward in faith. Could YOUR community be next?

Have you been to pray at a 40 Days for Life vigil yet? You may ask, “What do I do?” or “What sign should I bring?” The answer is simple; the only sign you really need to bring is yourself, for you represent God’s love.
Here's a video featuring 40 Days for Life national director David Bereit and campaign director Shawn Carney, who shared some thoughts at a recent pro-life gathering in Maryland.
