This spring, from February 6 - March 16, our community will be one of 59 cities in 31 states joining together for one of the largest simultaneous pro-life mobilizations in history -- the national 40 Days for Life campaign. 40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of: We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city and throughout America. Take a stand for life While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion (or Planned Parenthood) facility. You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at: Abortion Services & Counseling This abortion clinic is located within Governors Ridge office park. During the last 40 Days for Life (last Fall), it is confirmed that 3 mothers who had appointments at this clinic chose life for their babies (there may have been more)! Please pray for them and all the Moms & babies, for the conversion of the abortionist and his staff, and be a part of God's life-saving work there this Spring! To sign up for specific hours please go to our Sign Up for Vigil page. Please note: your personal information, including your name, will remain confidential and will not appear on this website. Your hour(s) will simply appear as "Filled" on the Vigil Schedule. Thank you! From 75 North, exit at Windy Hill Road and turn right. Windy Hill Road soon deadends at Powers Ferry Road. Turn left on Powers Ferry Road and go a couple blocks. Governors Ridge, which consists of old-fashioned-looking brick buildings will be on your left - you'll see a brick gazebo at it's main entrance. The abortion clinic is located in Bldg 23 behind Fidelity Bank. We are permitted to stand, pray & hold signs along the sidewalk in front of Gov. Ridge office park, as long as we respect the right of way for cars & pedestrians (however, we are not permitted to park or go within Gov Ridge office park). If you bring signs, please make sure they are in the spirit of 40 Days for Life. For questions about this, please contact Margarita at 404/824-5269 or margszechenyi@bellsouth.net . I strongly encourage you to carry a sign that clearly shows the number women can call for abortion alternatives 24 hours, 7 days: 1-800-395-HELP, and to be diligent in lovingly showing this to cars as they drive in or as they wait at the light to turn in (long wait at light) - you may very well save a life! Vigil participants sign a Statement of Peace that pledges they will conduct themselves in a peaceful, lawful manner.
