Tuesdays - Debbie 9/29/09
Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ! Tuesday is usually a quiet day at the abortion mill, it is rare that abortions occur, most of the activity is consultations and such. This Tuesday was no different. Dr. Stan did have the pleasure of speaking to a man from the Congo in Africa. The man praised God for the work we are doing by stand up for the unborn (life) and said that in his country this would never happen. The people would not stand for it. He can’t believe that this happens in the greatest country of the world the United States of America.
The construction has actually been to our advantage the driveway to the clinic is blocked most of the time and people are confused about how to get in. The walk way is still not complete and that too is a source of confusion. The weather hasn’t been that cooperative but the good Lord wants us to be out front and not hide behind the building to block the wind. We need to be where passer-bys can see us otherwise, us being there is of no benefit to anyone. My Grand mother would say offer it up! J
Remember our prayers are very powerful and that is the reason we are there. If you have been keeping up with the National e-mails you will see the successes around the country, that is do in part to all the Forty days for Life prayers compiled. We are not just praying for our clinic (mill) to close but ALL mills to close. The conversion of ALL the worker’s hearts and the parents and the passer-bys. Remember the babies go to Heaven But everyone else is in jeopardy of losing their souls to hell. Let us continue to pray hard for God’s beloved children
Mondays - Karen 9/28/09
Monday's weather forecast called for extremely high winds and heavy rain (I understand there was also hail and a couple of lightning strikes). As the new Monday coordinator, I was concerned that those participating for the first time were experiencing a baptism of fire (water from all the rain) and was concerned that they would never want to come back. However, I looked at Monday’s severe weather from 2 different viewpoints. The first was that the evil one is not at all happy with what we are doing, and is trying to interfere any way he can. Besides the weather, I had 1 person who had a problem with their knee, another with her leg (who had 3 times slots in the afternoon) and a third who called at the last minute saying she couldn’t make her time slot because her son mistakenly took her car keys to college, but God took care of all of these problems.

As my husband and I prepared to cover the last 2 hours, we got out a golf umbrella and rain slickers. (Since the rain slicker I was going to wear was totally white with a hood, I was a bit worried that some would think I was with the Klu Klux Klan.). My husband was so determined to witness that he got out his hip waders to wear; he had a second pair he offered to me, but I politely declined..
There was an incident at the end when we were just about to close down the vigil in the evening: the abortionist drove out all alone from behind the darkened building and got an eyeful of our three faithful witnesses standing in the dark, the wind and the rain praying for the children, the moms, and her!
The other thought regarding the rain came to me when we went to pray at the adoration chapel since Dr. Stan made a decision to close down early. Perhaps God was sending tremendous amounts of water to cleanse us from the effects of the holocaust of abortion
When I checked my email before I went to bed, I received the following message which really made my day:
Karen,
I had a great time today.
It was the first time I stood outside the abortion clinic (Women's Services) and across the street.
I meet Liz, Marsha, Tom and Lynn. I also meet Stan for the second time.
Getting involved with the 40 Days for Life has been a real blessing for my life.
God loves a joyful Christian and worker!
I am considering the "Last Chance Ministry".
God bless you.
Gloria
