YOU can help save lives!

This year, from February 22 - April 1, our community will be one of many cities joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion (or Planned Parenthood) facility.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at:

Stay on the sidewalk and avoid the corner nearest the intersection of 1st Ave and 35th St. to avoid blocking traffic visibility as required by the CR Police Department. We plan to add a link with additional details, landmarks, directions, identifying info, etc. Please, check back later. The map below indicates places to park in green, and places to avoid in red. In addition to what is shown, please leave a parking space directly in front of the house across 35th St. for the residents to use.

Sign up to participate in our local 40 Days for Life vigil by clicking the "Vigil Schedule" link at the top of this page.

The vigil is peaceful; participants sign a Statement of Peace with a pledge that they will conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner. All people are welcome!
 
The Vigil hours will be 7 AM to 7 PM every day for the 40 days including weekends. Vigil participants are especially encouraged to come during the following hours when PP is open:

  • Mon: 9 am - 5 pm
  • Tue: 11am - 7 pm
  • Wed: 10 am - 3 pm
  • Thur: 11 am - 5 pm
  • Fri: 9 am - 5 pm

We've had many groups wishing to continue through the summer or year-round at the following times:

  • Mon: Check back soon (likely start at 10 or 11 am for 1 hr)
  • Tue: 1 pm - 2 pm
  • Wed: 12 noon - 1 pm, and 5 pm - 6 pm
  • Thur: 9 am - 10 am
  • Fri: 1 pm - 2 pm
  • Sat: 11 am - 12 noon
