YOU can help save lives!

From February 13- March 24, our community will be one of many joining together for a faith-filled, groundbreaking, coordinated pro-life mobilization -- 40 Days for Life.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in Chapel Hill -- and throughout America.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion facility.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at:

Planned Parenthood
1765 Dobbins Drive
Chapel Hill, NC 27514

For more information, click the "Get Involved" link at the top of this page.

Note: Our vigil is always peaceful and prayerful. All participants agree to abide by the Statement of Peace with a pledge to conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner.

40 Days for Life:  Discover what God Has Done... Imagine What He Can Do

This book by David Bereit and Shawn Carney tells the story of 40 Days for Life which began after one hour of prayer in 2004 in College Station, Texas. Since then the "groundbreaking 40 Days for
Life movement of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils, and community outreach has mobilized more than half a million volunteers in 481 cities around the world. 6,749 babies have been spared from abortion. 75 abortion workers have had a change of heart and quit their jobs. 25 abortion centers have closed. And every baby, every heart, every closure is an amazing story." The 40 chapters of the book tell their stories.

The book is hot off the press, published January 28, 2013 and available from the following websites:   http://premierecollectibles.com ;  amazon ; and Barnes and Noble.
