This fall, from September 24 - November 2, our community will be one of more than 170 cities in 45 states joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in West Chester -- and throughout America.

Results of Fall 2007

Last fall our community joined 89 cities across the US for a united effort of prayer and fasting in a 40 Days for Life campaign which yielded the following results:

• At least three babies were saved
• One clinic worker left her job
• Hundreds of people became active in the Pro-Life movement for the 1st time
• The number of abortions performed in West Chester dropped below 1000 for the first time in several years
• There is no regular abortionist...abortions are scheduled "when they can get a doctor"
• The CEO of Planned Parenthood in West Chester was either dismissed or resigned
• A nurse refused a job offer at Planned Parenthood because she didn't want to walk by people praying outside

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion (or Planned Parenthood) facility.
