A unique approach to ending abortion From February 25 through April 5, we will join the more than 130 communities in the United States, Canada, Australia and Northern Ireland cities in 45 states that will participate in the 40 Days for Life campaign. 40 Days for Life is an intensive effort designed to raise awareness, save lives, bring healing, and lead our nation to repentance for the sin of abortion through three components: Learn more about the national 40 Days for Life campaign. 1. Fasting is a sacrifice that helps us reach beyond our own limitations with God's help. Fasting is not a Christian diet; it is a form of physical prayer. You can fast from food, TV, alcohol ... anything that separates you from God. 2. Spread the word The success of 40 Days for Life depends on the most powerful form of advertising in the world -- word of mouth. Accept our prayers and fasting in atonement for the tragic sin of abortion in the world, especially in our country. By the merits of your precious blood, shed for our redemption, instill in all hearts a profound respect for life and bring about an end to abortion, euthanasia, and every other assault on innocent human life. Come, Holy Spirit, strengthen us and give us courage to work tirelessly to promote a true Culture of Life, whether in season or out of season – a culture that recognizes the dignity and sanctity of every person. Each day between now and the end of the campaign, please commit to pray and fast for the nationwide effort, and for the efforts here in our city.
Participate in or organize rosaries, holy hours and/or litanies at your parish (with your pastor's approval) or in your homes.
Start praying TODAY that the Holy Spirit will guide, protect, and strengthen all those organizing and participating in the campaign. Please also pray for the participants in the other Colorado campaigns and those throughout the country.
