Dover is participating for the tenth time in the 40 Days for Life campaign. The spring's event will be the largest ever.

The Fall 40 Days for Life campaign in Dover is inviting local church groups and organizations to participate one day per week, either Wednesday or Thursday each week throughout the 40 Days. On this day each participant is to be present in prayer/vigil for one hour at the Planned Parenthood, 805 S. Governors Avenue.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:
  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.


Everyone is Invited to Participate in the Dover Kick Off Event
February 2nd at 3:30 PM

Featuring Keynote Speaker & Christian Vocalist Rebecca Jones

  • The kickoff event is being held at Holy Cross Church on 630 South State Street, Dover, DE.
  • Saturday February 2nd at 3:30 pm in the Early Learning Center building.
  • Bldg. C -- 2nd Floor, Matthew Room.
  • Refreshments will be served.

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local Planned Parenthood facility. You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil at:

Parking is usually available on Dover Street on either side of Governors Avenue. Also, parking is available on South Bradford Street one block east of Governors Avenue behind the clinic.
