A unique approach to ending abortion: Our community will be one of several hundred praying in the 40 Days for Life campaign in defense of the “least”, the most innocent among us: the unborn children. 40 Days for Life is an intensive effort designed to raise awareness, save lives, bring healing, and lead our nation to repentance for the sin of abortion through three components:

• ·        Pray and Fast:  Praying is action! Combined with sacrifice, it is a powerful spiritual weapon for the battle ultimately is not against flesh and blood. “This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting” (Mk 9:29)
• ·        Peaceful Vigil:  the most visible component of our pro-life effort is a very public witness at the Planned Parenthood facility (825 S.Shields, Fort Collins, Colorado) with the courage from our convictions and the help of God. Prayer vigil is kept from: 7am-7pm, 7days a week for 40 Days. “I am the vine; you are the branches...apart from Me you can do nothing.” (Jn 15:5)
• ·        Spread the word:  Each participant can tell others and the campaign involves many churches and organizations and also by these public events:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. 

The “unalienable rights” of the Declaration are derived from our being “created equal” by a “Creator” who “endowed” us with “certain unalienable rights.” Without the first of these rights, there is no basis for the second and third.  Our liberty as Americans is based upon our identity as human persons.  We have been given liberty because we have been given life.
