Home: Welcome to 40 Days for Life
This spring, from February 17, through March 28, Hackensack will join over 150 cities across the United States, to participate in the 40 Days for Life campaign. 40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of: Human Life is Sacred Because 50 million children have been killed since 1973 in the Because 50 million situations of unspeakable violence are treated as if they are insignificant. Because it is time for this to end. We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout Please join us in our second Hackensack campaign The peaceful prayer vigil outside the place where children are killed is the most visible component of the 40 Days for Life campaign. Our fall 2009 campaign of prayer and fasting touched many individual lives, and brought awareness and hope to a neighborhood that feels powerless in the face of the evil which is occurring in its midst. You can help make a life-saving and life-changing impact by joining us this spring as we bring our prayerful peaceful presence to Women's What is going on behind the doors of every abortion facility across the nation destroys human lives - the children's lives and their parents' lives. If all we can do is be there as a physical presence and a visible sign that we are on the side of life, then let us be there. The Spring 2010, 40 Days for Life campaign, runs the forty days of Lent, from Ash Wednesday through the Sunday before Easter, Passion Sunday. What better way to enter into the season of Lent than to do what Jesus did before He entered into His public ministry, to go "into the desert" to pray? "Would you not watch one hour with me?"
