The Archdiocese of Hartford is participating in the 40 Days for Life campaign from September 26 - November 4. Our community is part of the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign. We are blessed to begin our fifth year in the campaign.

All denominations are welcome to join the prayerful vigil in Hartford.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the Hartford abortion mill, the Hartford GYN Center at 1 Main Street. While peacefully praying there, we have saved 52 babies from abortion in our campaigns. We can add one more since the fall campaign began. If one life were saved, our campaign would have rejoiced; 52 babies and mothers are now enjoying life having been spared a great suffering.

The vigil is held on the small, triangular island near the abortion clinic. Parking is available at St. Peter Church, 160 Main St., a short walk from the clinic. St. Gerard Pregnancy Center is also located near the triangle. If parking at St. Peter's, leave a note on your dashboard that you are part of 40 Days for Life.
