             Final Week of 40 Days for Life Spring 

On the Saturday of Week 4, Planned Parenthood was closed, there were many people on the sidewalk even though they were not open.  This Saturday there were people on the sidewalk but there were many more people driving into the clinic to end the lives of their babies.  This is the last full week of 40 Days for Life Spring Campaign, there are still open hours to fill, especially plan to be there on Friday and Saturday mornings, the appointments are being set for arrival between 6am-11am.  Can you spare a few hours for a young woman to see that someone cares?  Can you show Planned Parenthood that we will be there in large numbers even in the early hours?  
We will shortly open the Women's Help Center right next door to offer an alternative to the death of their babies, call to volunteer to help staff the new center.  Pat Kennedy 248-0770.           
 

From February 25-April 5, our community will be one of more than 120 cities in 41 states joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign, every hour of every day for 40 days.

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion facility.

This abortuary is located next to the (to be opened in early March) Women's Help Center which is next to Kuhn Flowers on Beach Blvd.  This location offers very little shade, go prepared for weather (umbrella, water, chair, etc).  You may park in the WHC parking lot, a portalet is  on the parking lot for your use.  It will be serviced once a week.  This parking lot is also used for access to back area of Kuhn Flowers so service vehicles are entering and leaving quickly.  Please keep watch for these vehicles and keep close eye on children.

The Vigil Calendar is available.  Please plan to schedule for yourself and recruit prayer groups, churches and organizations to take blocks of time to fill the hours and sidewalk with prayer!  We have begun to fill the hours, please select a day/hour for your commitment.
