The K-W and Cambridge area had a groundbreaking 40 Days For Life campaign in the fall of 2009.  Nearly 800 citizens in the area volunteered at least one hour of prayer and fasting in front of the region's abortion facility, petitioning God to end the evil of abortion.  We covered all but 4 hours during that 40 day period, with prayer volunteers who stood vigil 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, rain or shine. 

Our region's campaign was conducted in unison with approximately 200 other cities across North America plus Ireland and Denmark. We stormed heaven with prayer, so to speak, and the results were amazing. Hundreds of lives were spared from abortion worldwide as a result of that campaign.  Since 40 DAYS FOR LIFE began in Texas in 2007 , reports document that 5,928 lives in total that have been spared from abortion — and those are just the ones we know about!

Our next 40 DAYS FOR LIFE campaign will start THIS September 26th - November 4th.  

This year our community will be 1 of 314 cities throughout Canada, USA and Europe -- joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign.

    Notes: (1) The video mentions America, but is just as applicable to Canada. (2) It references 120 cities involved during last spring's campaign, but will include 243 cities in the spring of 2011.

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside the local abortion facility.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil in front of:

Sign up to donate 1 hour or more of prayer & fasting to our local 40 Days for Life vigil (or follow the "Vigil Schedule" link at the top of this page.) You'll be required to register an account and fill out our "peace statement" in which you promise to obey the rules of peaceful conduct. Then you can advance the calendar to September 26 and sign-up for the hours which best suit you.
