HOME: Welcome to 40 Days for Life

YOU can help save lives! Starting today!
Our new international campaign has STARTED!
PLEASE JOIN US.
From  February 22 through April 1, our community is joining together with a record number of locations 251 in the US, as well as Canada, Australia, England, for a faith-filled, groundbreaking, coordinated pro-life mobilization -- 40 Days for Life.
Please come and be in our picture!

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

  • 40 days of prayer and fasting
  • 40 days of peaceful vigil
  • 40 days of community outreach

We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and beyond.

March 31,2012
Thankyou to all who have participated in the Spring campaign!
Our "Candlelight" Culmination event was an uplifting success! While the wind didn;t let us keep the candles lit and it wasn't quite dark yet
over 35 people attended, held signs, prayed and sang. Many cars passing by honked in approval with many thumbs up! We celebrated the 16 known saves but mourned the many who were sacrificed. Today may be "Saturday" the day of transition between the Friday of crucifiction and the Sunday of resurrection but as the world changed with Christ's resurrection and victory over death so will there be victory over abortion. God bless you all!
Please start considering the fall campaign in September.

Wonderful news!
Since February 22 we know of at least  16 babies saved!
We know we will be able to update these blessings as they are confirmed.

Take a stand for life - GET INVOLVED
Can you spend just a minute or two to pray?
You just being there may help a person start a whole new life!

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside
Family Planning Associates facility at
2777 Long Beach Blvd.. Long Beach.
People from newly born to those in their 90s have joined in being God's representatives for the unborn. To help save more babies CLICK on GET INVOLVED and GET INVOLVED! To sign up for the vigil CLICK on the "VIGIL SCHEDULE" tab above. ANY TIME YOU HAVE TO COME BY AND PRAY IS WELCOME. IF YOU CAN"T COMMIT TO A TIME COME WHEN YOU CAN AND SPEND A MINUTE.
Don't worry about the schedule. You won't regret it.

Witnessing with a happy heart and an infectious smile are very important qualities in winning people over. I can attest to this since witnessing Elizabeth, a first time participant "with people present". Her smile is big and genuine, no doubt from the presence of the Holy Spirit. She wanted to be "trained" on how to approach people. We gave her some pamphlets and some simple instructions on respect for the client and lo and behold people came to her! All God needs is your willing heart.
We always recommend that you attend a training so that you can be equiped with the proper resources and references. Many women will need some ongoing support.

If you can please sign up to participate in our local 40 Days for Life vigil by clicking the "Vigil Schedule" link at the top of this page.

Called "The Power of Seven" this presentation can help increase your knowledge and confidence when defending your pro-life position.
You can also purchase "The Stations of The Cross- I Thirst" CD. All proceeds go to purchase an ultrasound machine to show the baby's mother what he or she looks like.

Praise the Lord! Today (March 30) we had 2 saves.
Cecilia an experienced sidewalk counselor met the mother as she approached and walked with her for about 30 feet as they appproached the door. The mother listened but said "she had to" and went inside. We thought she was determined. But less than 10 minutes later she came out and proclaimed she's not going to do it!
Cecila was able to make sure the mom had the information she needed before they left.
The second was just because we were there. A young woman who entered the facility while we were distracted looked confused and was probably looking for some confirmation taht choosing life is the right path. We were not able to get to her before she went in. But our presence especially Peter's, a new prayer warrior, thanks to God's good grace was able to make eye contact and gave her that confirmation. She came back out and with tears and energy stated she is going to the "other place" (Birth Choice) before they closed.

Why do not people understand how intimidating and dangerous an abortion facitilty is?

Saving lives is our main goal including those of the mothers. Just last week, outside the abortion clinic in Long Beach, CA, a young Hispanic woman, was approaching the abortion clinic. It was her second day and she had the lamaneria already. She was asking God to help her out because she was scared.
Irma, a sidewalk counselor, seeing that she was hesitant asked her why she was there. Her 4 month old baby in the womb had died and her doctor sent her there.
Irma told tis young lady that it was an abortion facitilty and she was shocked. Irma was able to contact a high risk OB and was able to immediately drive her to his office. They were able to remove the baby in a hospital setting. She did have a hemorage but it was taken care of promptly and she is doing very well today. An interesting post script is that the abortion facility called this fortunate woman to ask why she didn't come in. She told them and added if she had had them perform the procedure she could have died since they are not equiped for her complication.
Please continue to pray for all those who do not understand.

This save is a wonderful example of a "devine appointment". FPA is not always open on a Saturday so there is not always a sidewalk counselor present. This Saturday afternoon a prayer vounteer came by to pray because she "had the time". As coordinator I was also there. Each woman's situation is always difficult. It is especially difficult when the expectant mother's young son has just said "Mom, I don't want to live this way anymore". The woman who approached us was torn between her belief in life and her plight of living in hotels with her boyfriend and son while her daughter was with her grandparents. Most her family members were against her having an abortion but someone said "just take a pill from the mill and 4 pills at home and it will be over". After having an argument with her boyfriend this woman was depressed and confused. By sincerely listening to her and then reinforcing that there are resources available she understood there was a better way. During our ten minute conversation she realized there was help and aborting her baby was not the answer. She began smiling with hope and peace. We have a wonderful and merciful God.

If you've not seen a woman go from despair to hope then you've truely missed a great joy.
This may not be a typical encounter. One never knows what may happen.
We encourage anyone who would want to speak with a woman approaching the clinic to attend a training first. We will be offering a sidewalk counseling workshop in May. If you are interested please email sylvia@AudioGirlMinstries.com to get on the mailing list.

Thank you Cecilia and Holy Innocents Church for your ongoing ministry of backup and support.

As of December 31 for the year of 2011 we know of 150 babies that were saved from abortion from FPA. May GOD BLESS all those who prayed and counseled and volunteered to be outside FPA in 2011.

THANK YOU to all who are comming by the clinic for what ever time you can.
