The vigil is the center point of the 40 Days for Life campaign. Not because prayer isn’t important, but because having a steady presence of pro-lifers outside of the abortuary day after day for 40 days in a row expresses our level of commitment to ending the American Abortion Holocaust. It will take more than a few dedicated souls to make this happen.
Long Island 40DFL main vigil is in Hempstead with a ‘satellite’ vigil in Smithtown:

7:00AM to 7:00 PM.

You don't have to sign-up but it will help us know what time slots are still open.

9:00AM to Noon.
YOUR sacrifice is needed to stand where child sacrifice is being committed. Life and hope are replaced with death and despair at Planned Parenthood.
** Will you come for just ONE HOUR during the 40 days?
** Can you commit to one hour a week (that’s only 6 hours out of 960)?
** Would your pro-life group, Knights Council, or church cover ONE DAY out of the 40? (2 people/hour = 24 people)
At the Vigil:
-- You are not required to sign-up or register to take part in the 40DFL vigil. Whenever you can go, please do.
-- One hour time slot suggested - stay longer or come for15 minutes before/after work or in between running errands.
-- You can pray, stand silently and/or hold a sign. Signs help passersby know why you are there.
