Bus Service to Walk for Life West Coast, January 24, 2009

This fall, the Napa team of the 40 Days for Life held a Vigil for the unborn and their mothers from September 24 - November 2,2008. Napa was one of more than 179 cities in 45 states joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign. 
The vigil was peaceful; participants signed a "Statement of Peace" with a pledge that they will conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner.

We accomplished this by: 
  1. Praying and fasting
Christ told us that some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting. The two go hand in hand. Prayer keeps us rooted in the fact that it is our desire to carry out God's will. Fasting is a sacrifice that helps us reach beyond our own limitations with God's help. Fasting is not a Christian diet; it is a form of physical prayer. You can fast from food, TV, alcohol ... anything that separates you from God.

2. Over 340 Vigil Volunteers Signed up for prayer vigil site attendance, and prayer, and counselor support.

3. The Vigil Volunteers helped Spread the word
The success of 40 Days for Life depended on the most powerful form of advertising in the world -- word of mouth. The Vigil Volunteers told all of their friends, family members, co-workers, and fellow believers about 40 Days for Life. They encouraged them to visit this web site where they learned more about 40 Days for Life and got involved.

4. They found their role
The Vigil Volunteers listened to their calling by the Holy Spirit and acted on that calling, and got others involved!

5. Over 340 Participated in the peaceful vigil
Their powerful witness, saved at least three babies and their mothers the trauma of an abortion right her in Napa, and throughout the nation over 520 Babies were saved!
