C-351: An Act To End Abortion In Canada

January 14, 2009

Background
I believe one of the divine challenges that heaven is screaming to us in this hour of Canadian history is to end the genocide of abortion. Since all restrictions have been taken off of abortion in Canada, an estimated 3-4 million (or more) Canadians have not made it past the womb. If this is not enough to invoke a response from our hearts and lives, our nation is littered with the wreckage of shattered lives that men and women who have committed abortion live inside. How much this has cost our nation is uncalculable. Not only do we have a population crisis but only God knows how many inventions, cures, husbands, wives, and friends have been snuffed in the name of rights and convenience. The science is in. We know more now then we did 20 years ago- both about the development of human beings in the womb and of the negative effects of abortion. There is nothing pretty about it. This is our time. This is our Canada. This is our responsibility.

Why
In the spring of 2006, in a sovereign encounter with God, the Lord spoke these words to me, "If the Church in Canada will pray 24/7 for the ending of abortion, you will see it in your generation. If they don't, you won't, all you will have is intense lobby efforts and perhaps gain a little ground, but you won't win. If you do nothing else. If you do nothing else. IF YOU DO NOTHING ELSE. Raise up an army who will pray 24/7 until abortion is no more. That encounter changed me and launched the 24/7 Prayer Siege to end abortion. Since the launch of the siege others (from non-charismatic denominations) have had the Lord speak the same thing to their hearts, we have seen the first winnable legislation considering the unborn tabled in decades, a CBC poll stating the ending of abortion was the #1 wish of young Canadians & evidence that abortion is on the decline. We are gaining ground, but the war still rages. Because of this, when Prime Minister Harper refused to "touch" the issue in the 2008 election we felt it was time to ramp up on the 24/7 Prayer Siege strategy and launch C-351.

Please do not confuse C-351 with a political statement.  It is not. Rather, "C" stands for "Church" and "351" represents the number of churches we are seeking to add to the siege. Check out Psalm 35:1.

Something To Think About
A friend of mine, and his wife, were driving back from seeing the movie Amazing Grace (about Wilberforce and the ending of the slave trade). She looked at him and said, "If you would have been alive during the time of Wilberforce do you think you would have been a part of his movement to end the slave trade?" I so appreciated my friend's measured response. He thought about it for a bit and then said, "I would like to think so however, in reality, what am I doing about the injustices around me today - like abortion?" I think most of us look back at history and like to think we would have been ront, center, or at least in th emiddle of the great reformations of times past. However, in reality, what are we doing about the injustice of abortion in our face (if we choose to see it) today? Today, if no one does anything, an estimated 274 Canadians will die at the hands of abortion. That is 17 for every waking hour. That is one child by the time you finish reading this brochure. Be a part of making wrong things right (justice). Today I invite you to join the 24/7 Prayer Siege to end abortion and be a part of seeing the genocide of abortion crumble in our generation.

Join the movement.

Help mobilize massive prayer to end abortion today.
