1) Ground Zero Reports:
A priest took the first spot for the proclamation of the Word and later shared with me that in all his life he had never experienced such a Spiritual attack. The night before the proclamation he was unable to sleep and was inundated with ridiculous thoughts aimed at discouraging him from going. He said that as he was proclaiming the Word, even with all the distractions of busses and construction work, that he sensed the power and the peace of the Lord. I am not intending to discourage you but to encourage you. Clearly our adversary does not want us there. Where the Word of God is...God is, and Satan departs allowing the prayer warriors and street counsellors to be in the company of the Lord without the distractions of Satan. 5) Scripture Proclamation: It's the hottest ticket in town! No, not the Senator's. Proclaiming Scripture at Ground Zero, dummy! The slots are filling up quickly. There's one left next Wednesday and then the following Weekend. Holy smokes, this thing is taking off. We're bringing the big heavy down on the devil's head. God knows exactly what we need and He's bringing it. We're cracking a big gaping hole in the Enemy's defenses. And when we get a crack, we're going to drive right through it and set the captives free!

update....
1) Ground Zero Report: (From lsst week) We were at the March for Life this Afternoon with the St Maurice Church...1 Pm to 2 Pm. It was an experience!! I prayed that only one will be touch...As we prayed the Rosary, George, Octavia & I (I happen to be the one she choose to talk to).... a
young girl with a skate board jumped off her skate board and came in from of me and said, with an angry attitude, "Why Are you doing this ???". I looked into her eyes face to face , with her skate board in her hand, George said he was ready incase she attack me...but I felt this Love inside me toward her as she was talking with this angry looked, (I kept looking into her eyes in silence ) as she speak she said, " I'm sixteen year old, and had an abortion with this angry voice"...in silence kept looking into her eyes...she wake away.... We prayed that God will touch her, as she walked away she talked to another st Maurice parishioner,.." you people spoiled my day"...Because she said " I'm sixteen year old, and had an abortion " ...and also when she said " you people spoiled my day"... God was already working inside her for saying it to us. About 5 minutes after another young girl coming the same direction approached us about the same age with a big smile in her face and she said "I agree with all of you"' as she walked away so joyfully God you are so good and Merciful Thank You God for your invitation - Shirley

2) Operations Report:
Need Help!
The Vigil Calendar shows that the first four days of the Campaign which began on September 28th started off with a bang will all the time slots covered. So far, we have 19 days out of the 40 of the campaign reserved either by Parishes, or Church-related organizations. We expect to hear from other Parishes/ groups in the upcoming days. Our immediate concern is for the next four days: from now until Thursday, October 6th. We need your help! Register for one of these one-hour blank shifts (between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm) for the prayer vigil across from the abortion facility, 65 Bank Street by clicking HERE. Please don't miss this opportunity to engage in this spiritual battle against the culture of

3) Demonstrators at Ground Zero: We had an incident with a demonstrator ***NOT*** associated with 40 Days for Life today. This gentlemen was verbally abused by a pro-abortion pedestrian and police were called in. The demontrator walks around with a very graphic sign on the side of the abortuary. From a legal point of view, he has a right to be there provided he is not abusive or obstructing anyone.
40 Days for Life does not take any position on the use of graphic images. Our movement does not engage in this type of demonstration because that is not our purpose or mandate. Our purpose is to pray for the conversion of those who are affected by abortion. We do not have any association with any other demonstration going on at Ground Zero. It is important for us to "stick together" and not be distracted by any other presence for or against abortion. 40 Days for Life staff will be monitoring this situation as we progress, and will attempt to discuss this matter with gentleman at the next available opportunity. Please pray that these kind of incidents do not escalate. Our Enemy wants to shake us down because we are starting to have an effect. Keep focused and don't get distracted. Report any incidents to us and keep the lines of communication open.
4) Proclamation of the Word:
Proclamation of the Word has gone very well thus far, however, it is imperative that all the pro-life reps and captains do whatever they can within their parishes this weekend to recruit more readers. As you have heard from John Pacheco, the schedule is wide open on Wednesday and Thursday of next week and their remain numerous slots to fill beyond that. We are proud to call ourselves Christians, let us proclaim it in public. In the last few days, those who have proclaimed Scripture feel invigorated as a result and have walked away unscathed. Put on the armour of God, which is His Word, and support our prayer warriors and street counsellors. - Deacon Chuck Fink
An observation from a Participant: "I would strongly encourage you go in "two's" when "Proclaiming the Word"; one who proclaims the word while the other stands silently directly beside them in intercessory prayer. The Proclamation of the Word "podium" stands away from those in silent prayer, so if any of you see a person "Proclaiming the Word" alone, then please go stand and pray silently beside them. Your presence at their side will give them strength and courage. May God bless and protect all those who have signed-up to "Proclaim the Word". - Sue

a) Kick Off Rally - A 40 Day for Lifer's account of our opening rally on Parliament Hill this pas Sunday Night:
Well, I just have to say that this evening was a simply powerful, most beautiful and solemn event to behold. I'm sure you would agree that each speaker gave a powerful witness and well articulated message. Everyone spoke so well. Hats off especially to Doris and Judy who truly found their full voices this evening, God's gift to speak to all of us present. It was so moving. Marcel and friend ministered so powerfully in The Spirit (we need to also acknowledge the keyboardist next time) Their music, songs and prayers touched me deeply as did everything else tonight. The special emphasis and dimension of spirituality this year was tangible and I offer my thanks to all of you who have set the beautiful spiritual tone and context for this year's 40 Day Vigil and Proclamation of The Word. I believe the evening was a foreshadow of the movement of The Spirit that will follow and certainly be prayerfully sustained throughout - A SPIRIT OF COMPASSION AND MERCY, UNDERSTANDING AND FORGIVENESS AND PRECIOUS HOPE FOR THE PRE-BORN AND US ALL.
