I checked the Vigil Calendar early this morning and notice that this was a not a day which was reserved by any Parish. Hence I registered for the 8-9 AM slot since there was no-one signed-up at that hour. To my surprise, when I arrived there were two other individuals present. One of these was Ann from St. Clement Parish. While we were quietly praying, I noticed two individuals approach Ann and talk to her for a few moments. I asked her afterwards as to the nature of the conversations.
The first person was an older gentleman who said he supported us praying for an end to abortion. It’s always uplifting when someone takes the time to encourage us doing the prayer vigil. A few minutes later, a young lady approached Ann to ask her how she could sign-up for a slot at the vigil-site. Ann provided her with the 40 Days Web-site. Perhaps another prayer-warrior recruited!

Although we do not always get to witness such positive encounters at the Vigil site, when we do get them we are reassured as to the impact our campaign is having. So please register particularly on hours when no-one is registered....click on Vigil Calendar.
