Fall 2008 Campaign
The 40 Days for Life initiative has received the full endorsement and participation of His Grace Terrence Prendergast, Archbishop of Ottawa. For the Autumn campaign (Sept.25-Nov.2, 2008), Archbishop Prendergast participated in the closing rally and presided over the closing mass.
Archbishop Prendergast is located to the right of the speaker (Nicole Campbell) at the closing rally, across from Morgentaler's Abortion Mill. He is sporting a black hat to battle the elements on the cold Sunday evening. Below is his Grace (right) and Bishop Carl Reid of the Anglican Catholic Church of Canada (left) in procession from "Ground Zero" (the location where the 40 Days Campaign vigil and closing rally occurred).
Following the rally and procession from Ground Zero, the Archbishop approaches the altar to begin the closing mass for the 40 Days for Life Campaign. St. Patrick's Basillica was filled with over 500 people processing from the closing rally. Immediately below that are two videos: one from Archbishop Prendergast welcoming the 40 Days for Life vigilers and another from Bishop Samuel Aquila of Fargo, North Dakota.
