To the participants of 40 Days for Life:
You have just mobilized in the single largest pro-life event in our local history and God has rejoiced in, and rewarded us for our efforts.
Last year, during the same 40 day time frame, 185 babies were aborted. This year, since the campaign began, 150 babies were aborted. That is almost a 20% decline in deaths. This is especially heartening when compared with the fact that it is being reported that abortion statistics are rising with our failing economy.
There is more great news. Last year, during this time frame, there were 5 saves. This year, since our 40 Days for Life campaign began, there have been 19 saves! That is nearly 4 times the number of saves that we had last year. Nationally, it has been reported that 421 babies have been saved during this spring campaign.., and this number will continue to rise as reports come in over the next few weeks.
The owner and resident of the abortuary put a sign in his window last week. It says:
“Your Prayers Have Been Answered. The Answer is “No”
He must not have been listening.
When we started this campaign, we were told “This community will never support it.” and “It will never work”.
We chose to forge ahead, knowing if just one baby was saved, it would be worth our efforts. Nineteen babies were saved.
We decided that if one mother or father was saved from a life of guilt and regret, it would be worth our efforts. At least 19 mothers and fathers were saved from a life of guilt and regret.
We decided that if two churches of different denominations joined together to fight for life, then it would be worth our efforts. Thirty churches of different denominations joined together.
We decided that if 50 new people came to pray at our abortion facility, it would be worth our efforts. Over 400 new people have come to pray at our abortion facility.
Due to your efforts, your willingness to pray and fast and stand in the cold and recruit people and spread the word…due to all of your sacrifice and hard work, this campaign has been a breath-taking success. Yet, we are hearing a common refrain from all of you…“We’re not done yet”. We couldn’t agree with you more. As long as babies are dying, there is more work to be done.
Our greatest hope is that you will continue to fight with us in this battle. The abortion mill is open two days a week. It is typically Wednesday and Friday and one Saturday a month. We have seen tangible evidence that the more people that are there, standing witness and praying on that sidewalk, the more mothers choose life for their child.
The women begin arriving at 7:00 am and the abortionist arrives at 9:00. If you could be present and in prayer while the women are arriving, we will certainly continue to see saves. Many of you work and may only be able to come on Saturdays, but those are always the busiest days. If we could have a crowd of 30 or 40 or 50 people standing on the sidewalk in prayer, we will continue to see a dramatic decline in aborted babies here in Rockford. We have seen the power of prayer. If you are not able to stand with us, continue to pray with us on abortion days.
If you do not get our weekly email newsletter, please email everylifematters@comcast.net and ask to subscribe. We will send out weekly updates about what days the abortion facility will be open, how many babies are lost and saved and future plans for our pro-life community.
We hope that you find great satisfaction when you wake on Easter morning this year. You may greet the risen Lord and know that you helped to save his beloved children from abortion.
God bless you and thank you for all of your efforts!

AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS IN ROCKFORD
On Friday April 3, an estimated 20 children were killed at Rockford's abortion mill. Because of the grace of God we had 2 saves this morning, one of which never came into the parking lot. The first was before 7:30 am, the young mother was all smiles when they pulled out. The second was a car with a Hispanic couple that drove by at least 6 times, but never came in and they kept looking at the large group of people praying and also noticed a Priest in the driveway.
On Wednesday April 8, an estimated 15 children were killed inside of Rockford's abortion mill. Thankfully, through the grace of God one young couple drove into the parking-lot, sat in their car and watched the people praying, then decided to leave without ever entering the abortion mill!
Even though 40 Days for Life is over it continues to bear fruit as we had a good size group praying this morning and holding pro-life signs.
Please note: The abortion facility owner continues to place sacrilegious images and offensive signs and displays the abortion clinic windows in an attempt to intimidate and offend Christians. As followers of Jesus Christ we should respond in charity and love - espicially during Holy week when we remember the merciful love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May God bless you all.
