OFF TO A GREAT START!!
Our SFV 40 Days for Life Kickoff Event in Mission Hills on Saturday, Feb. 25, was BY FAR our best yet, with almost 100 people attending this vigil to surround Family Planning Associates with CONTINUOUS PRAYER!!! There were several constantly by the back driveway, and many others who came for one-hour blocks of time but couldn't stay the entire morning. God really blessed us with many new people coming out for the first time, food for everyone (much of which was provided by appreciative neighbors!), and PERFECT WEATHER FOR OUR HELIUM BALLOON ROSARY!!! As a group, we all gathered closely to pray 2 prayers together - the Prayer to End Abortion, and the Prayer for Closing an Abortion Facility. Both prayer cards were also taped to the cross on the balloon rosary. Then dozens of children and most of the adults crossed Sepulveda to the center divider where the children released the rosary. YOU CAN HELP SAVE LIVES!
AT LEAST 100 unborn babies are killed by surgical abortion in the San Fernando Valley EACH WEEK, and that does not include deaths by the morning-after or RU-486 pills!! EACH WEEK!! That's well over 5,000 babies per year! While the task of eliminating abortion in the world seems overwhelming and impossible at times, 20 communities have already accomplished it in "their own back yards" as a result of 40 Days for Life campaigns - BY CALLING ON GOD'S HELP! That is our goal here in the San Fernando Valley!!
