Keeping the Sidewalk clear

Welcome to the Southfield 40 Days for Life website.

New News:

The Lent ("Spring") 40 Days for Life campaign has concluded but we have not forgotten these children threatened by abortion.   We invite you to join us and to invite your faith community to participate in prayer vigils throughout the spring and summerTo get an idea of what happens during the prayer vigil, please read our on-line Journal HERE.  For information about Adopt-a-"Day" for your church or organization, click HERE .  For a list of churches and organizations who have adopted blocks of times, click HERE

*Please note there will be a prayer vigil for Divine Mercy at  3-4pm on Sunday April 7th in front of Womancare Abortion Center.

At 4:30 p.m. each Saturday, we have a Memorial service for the victims who died at Womancare and other abortion centers during the past week.  We also pray for conversion of hearts so that the community will reject abortion.

"If you didn't know" -  What is the 40 Days for Life?
We use it as a prayerful, peaceful public witness at a local abortion center as a display of the Christian alternative to the despair of abortion.  If you are not a Christian, you are still very much welcome to join us in reverent silence - with an attitude similar to those who hold candlelight vigils for those being executed.

40 Days for life is held twice a year (Lent/Spring and Fall), and involves a 40 day long, 24 hour prayer vigil. It involves a three step approach to ending abortion:  prayer, fasting, and community outreach.
To gain some insight into what it is like to pray outside of an abortion center, please read our Fall 2012 Journal Here
Now that you know what it's all about, come out and pray t
oday :)
