This fall, from September 24 - November 2, our community will be one of more than 170 cities in 45 states and Canada joining together for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history -- the 40 Days for Life campaign.

In the fall of 2007 and the spring of 2008, two nationally coordinated 40 Days for Life campaigns mobilized people of faith and conscience in 139 cities across 43 states.

During these unified efforts, participants witnessed countless blessings from God, including over 150,000 people joined together in an historic display of unity to pray and fast for an end to abortion; more than 35,000 people in peaceful 40-day prayer vigils outside of abortion facilities; reports from around the country documenting more than 500 lives spared from abortion; five abortion workers quitting their jobs and walking away from the abortion industry; and more than 300 news stories featured in newspapers, magazines, radio shows and TV programs from coast to coast.

How can you help?

40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of:

Pray each day for God to bring about the change of heart necessary to end abortion.  Daily devotionals will be available at the 40daysforlife.com website.  Fast from something that will help focus and purify this time of prayer, such as a meal, snacks, sweets, TV, or video games.  Take up opportunities to give public witness in defense of life.  We are praying that, with God's help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city -- and throughout America.

Take a stand for life

While all aspects of 40 Days for Life are crucial in our effort to end abortion, the most visible component is the peaceful prayer vigil outside abortion or Planned Parenthood facilities.

Our vigil schedule is Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 6:00pm.

Presidential Women's Center is about 1/2 mile west of I95, just north of 45th St. on the corner of Village Blvd. and Northpoint Pkwy., behind Pollo Tropical and Wendy's.  We stand across the street from the abortuary on the north side of Northpoint Pkwy.
