We often say that you know your 40 Days for Life vigil is impacting the abortion center when the level of opposition increases.

That seems to be the case in Charlotte.

?We have faced stronger persecution than we have in previous years from the pro-abortion side,? said John, the Charlotte campaign leader. ?It is obvious that our prayers are having a serious effect and they feel threatened.?

He said that just shows how prayer efforts must continue to grow.

John did note that some of the pro-abortion response has been downright nasty. ?The pro-abortion side is using language that is very offensive and impossible to completely block out.?

More importantly, however, is the fact that ?40 Days for Life is an excellent opportunity for us to be a witness for Christ and the unborn,? he said. ?Just by our presence we show opposition to the culture of death that has grown.?

So prayers will continue ?for the parents and the unborn, for those who work at the abortion facility to come to recognize all life as precious, and for those who counsel and provide safe alternatives.?
