One of the 40 Days for Life volunteers said she was praying outside Planned Parenthood when she saw a car pull up ... with a young woman who said she'd come for an abortion.

Thankfully, the vigil participant was able to encourage her to go to the pregnancy help center that's right across the street ... and offered her fetal development information about a baby about the size of the one she was carrying.

The young woman went into the help center, and promised to talk to the volunteer before she left the area.

About an hour later, she came out smiling and waving ... and carrying an ultrasound image of her baby.

She also announced that abortion was no longer an option.

The volunteer said, "This is the very best day I have had in a long time and I just thank the Lord for timing things so perfectly, and I am so thankful for the Women's Resource Medical Center and their staff and volunteers, who are the reason so many of these people choose life!?

That was the third baby spared from abortion in Mobile during the most recent 40 Days for Life. "God is answering our prayers!" said one of the local leaders.
