Archbishop Ioan Robu sent words of encouragement to 40 Days for Life volunteers in Bucharest, Romania's capital city.

He promised that during the campaign from September 28 to November 6, every church in his archdiocese would offer prayers for life -- for defending and saving the lives of the unborn, for an end to abortion, and in atonement for all abortions performed in the area.

Archbishop Robu also took note of the public vigil, which is taking place at a major intersection in Bucharest from 7 am to 7 pm daily. He encouraged parents to contact churches in order to get involved in the campaign -- and to be on the lookout every day for prayer volunteers from parishes in Bucharest.
