As volunteers have been praying at 40 Days for Life vigils outside of two abortion facilities in Houston, they have received quite a bit of positive feedback from passersby.

One contractor entered the parking lot and stopped to see what was going on. She had dropped off materials and was told it was an abortion facility. She said, "I had no idea! And I've been smiling at those people?" She herself was pregnant and took information to give to a friend who was considering abortion.

A business man was dropping off a few packages. When he found out this was an abortion center, he motioned to the building saying, "This is a place where they do abortions?" His eyes got wide. "Well, I'll have to pray about that one."

A young woman came jogging by and said, "Can I pray with you?" She was told about the mobile pregnancy care center that parks outside of Planned Parenthood six days a week. "No way!" she said ? adding that she?d like to come back and pray again.

?We never know how people in the community will respond to those who pray for an end to abortion,? one of the Houston leaders said. ?However, a growing awareness can lead to a growing healing of the community from the effects of abortion -- an understanding of the real help available for pregnant moms and a stronger impact of the Culture of Life!?
