California continues to turn out huge crowds across the state!
West Covina (just west of Los Angeles) just shattered the UNITED attendance record with more than 350 at their rally! Two children saved from abortion at past 40 Days for Life campaigns were present -- Sam Ray, who?s now 6 years old, and Leia, who?s now 5. They joined the hundreds of attendees in signing the bus. 
We were also heard from the director of a pregnancy center that is now located inside a former abortion center in La Puente ? a business that closed following 40 Days for Life campaigns outside its doors.
Our first vigil stop of the day, in Santa Maria, was packed with people who have prayed outside the local Planned Parenthood for years. Before we left, a local pro-life leader asked everyone to lay hands on the bus and pray for the ongoing success of the campaign and tour.
The fantastic California turnout continued in beautiful Santa Barbara. In addition to the 40 Days for Life prayer volunteers, a number of media teams came out to the event ? and so did several Planned Parenthood workers who were outside listening and taking pictures the entire time. All the while, the crowd prayed for them to have a change of heart.
In Ventura, dedicated prayer volunteers gathered outside Planned Parenthood to greet us ? and here again, abortion workers couldn?t resist coming outside to watch and listen.
As was the case in other stops, news reporters were on hand to cover the event. In fact, we've seen more mainstream media coverage of the campaign and tour here in California than any of the previous 35 states we visited.
About 100 people gathered to pray and stand for life on the narrow sidewalk outside Planned Parenthood in Palmdale, California, including clergy from several Christian traditions. Irene Zamorano from Silent No More Awareness offered her compelling post-abortion testimony, promoting a newspaper reporter to follow up with her afterwards.
God is good -- all the time!
