Just days after Planned Parenthood was defunded last year, the abortion chain announced that it was merging two Florida affiliates.
That merger has apparently rendered a 26,000-square-foot abortion facility in Sarasota superfluous. Last week, Rich and his 40 Days for Life team noticed a "for sale" sign pop up on the Planned Parenthood property.
This abortion facility opened nearly two decades ago, and Sarasota pro-lifers have been holding 40 Days for Life vigils ever since.
This campaign marks the 20th consecutive fall 40 Days for Life vigil at the facility. Sarasota has also held 40 Days for Life vigils each Lent since 2019 and started a year-round 40 Days for Life 365 vigil in 2021.
We highlighted the campaign's effective lifesaving relationship with a local pregnancy help center on this powerful and encouraging video:

Former Planned Parenthood manager Ramona Trevino visited a campaign on the other side of the Sunshine State...
...but she didn't find much sunshine! "The rain didn't stop this group of dedicated volunteers," she said.
One of those hardy volunteers is a nonagenarian who prays at Planned Parenthood every day--rain or shine! "I have never met someone her age so full of life!" Ramona gushed. "She's truly an inspiration and quite the character, too."
And if she can do it in her 90s, what's stopping you? Find your nearest vigil and sign up to pray!

Ramona's visit to Orlando was a wet one as well!
"The rain showers did nothing to deter the volunteers," Ramona reported. "Stephen, our faithful leader, opened us in prayer before I addressed the group."
The event served its purpose--building the wave of pro-life momentum. "Some newcomers--young men--signed up for the vigil after the rally," Ramona noted.

Ramona also addressed a well-attended rally just outside Orlando. Participants included a local physician who prescribes Abortion Pill Reversal and staff at a pregnancy help center--who came to show their support and to pray!
"I also had the privilege of meeting one volunteer whose pro-life activism is inspired by her late sister, who had Down syndrome," Ramona reported. Her mission is to educate others about the eugenic roots of Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry."
And a voice came from the heavens, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
--Matthew 3:17
Dear God, you are a good and gracious father. Help us to stand firm in our identity as your sons and daughters so that we might share your love with everyone we encounter. Heal the wounds caused by our shortcomings and the shortcomings of others. We pray that every parent and child might know that you love them more than anyone else in the world ever can. Amen.
