Today, millions of people across the country will tune into the college football--and to ESPN's popular on-location, live-audience pregame show.

One of the program's most-beloved traditions is fans who bring handmade signs. Many are clever and funny. Others are tacky and sometimes even offensive.

But there's one line ESPN won't allow fans to cross: signs that mention God.

I recently sat down with Fox News to discuss the absurdity of ESPN silencing its largest demographic:

And then find your nearest 40 Days for Life vigil and show up to pray--with or without a sign:

Albuquerque, New Mexico

A teen mom walked up to two 40 Days for Life volunteers outside Southwestern Women's Options in Albuquerque.

"I am pregnant, and I am scared of being alone in my pregnancy!" she told them. "I don't know what to do!"

Vigil participants talked and prayed with her. "We are here to help you!" John assured her. "There is hope for both you and your baby."

A team member offered to drive the expectant mother to a local pregnancy center...and then asked if she'd like a hug.

"Yes, please, I need a hug," she replied as she accepted a free ultrasound, which revealed a nearly 10-week-old baby.

"I am keeping my baby," she continued. "I don't feel alone any more."

Nigeria

Hundreds of pro-life leaders from 11 Nigerian states packed the 40 Days for Life national conference in Abuja earlier this month!

Pastors, church leaders, pro-life advocates, student leaders, and youth advocates came with one goal: to learn how to end abortion across the country.

"The event was very interactive and renewed interest for future campaigns," wrote 40 Days for Life director of international campaigns Robert Colquhoun. "Overall, a great success!"

San Jose, California

40 Days for Life general counsel Matt Britton recently visited San Jose, which is holding its 34th 40 Days for Life campaign in 17 years.

Many participants have joined every one of those campaigns, and Matt could see why this campaign has stood the test of time.

"It is a well-run and dedicated vigil," Matt noted.

Volunteers pray at a busy intersection. On one corner is a surgical abortion facility that does second-trimester abortions, and its administrative headquarters sits catty-corner across the street.

The location provides a perfect opportunity to witness to the community. "Traffic lights allow for a lot of public visibility," Matt said. "And every day, school buses full of students drive past the vigil, bringing the pro-life message to the younger generation."

And Jesus went with them, but when he was only a short distance from the house, the centurion sent friends to tell him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof. Therefore, I did not consider myself worthy to come to you; but say the word and let my servant be healed."

--Luke 7:6-7

Dear Lord, I surrender my fear to your loving care. Give mothers and fathers the courage to invite you into their lives in good times and bad, and grant them the faith to place their children in your hands. Lead them to doctors who will give their children the very best chance to live. Amen.
