Taking the abortion pill can be a painful and grueling experience--and the word is getting out.
"I do not want to take the pill and have my baby drop in the toilet," a 20-year-old pregnant student in the Bronx told Sol. She opted for a surgical abortion instead.
"She knew enough about the abortion pill to reject it," Sol noted. "But did not know enough about the abortion procedure." So Sol texted her a link to an educational video about how abortions are performed.
"She began to cry," Sol said. "She chose life and is happy to be a mom."
The expectant mother is now picking a name for her baby!
"Let God take control of my life," the young woman said. "His plan is better than mine!"
One of the prayer warriors on hand for this powerful encounter was celebrating her own birthday.
She prayed that her birthday gift would be for this mom to choose life, and that prayer will result in TWO happy birthdays!
"She can celebrate that a baby in peril is now safe and will have a birthday as well," Sol reflected.

Lincoln, Nebraska

A young woman approached vigil participants to ask where she could get a free pregnancy test.
The Lincoln team happily directed her to the pregnancy help center across the street before handing her a gift bag and a resource card.
After the woman's appointment at the pregnancy help center, she excitedly returned to the vigil participants to thank them for the information they provided.
"A save!" noted Catherine, the local vigil leader. "If she had chosen to go into Planned Parenthood, the direction of her life could have changed."
Another woman pulled into the Planned Parenthood parking lot, but she too left without entering the abortion facility!
Argentina

An Argentinian woman encountered the 40 Days for Life vigil on her way into her abortion appointment.
But upon entering the consultation room, the memory of a vigil participant's statue of the Mother of Jesus inspired the mom to choose life.
"I'm not going to have an abortion," she said, despite the heavy pressure she was receiving to end her child's life.

I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.
--John 13:34
Dear Jesus, please instill in me a rich understanding of your love so that I might share it with others. Grant me the courage to open my heart to others. Give me the grace to treat each person as I would treat you. Amen.
