Your presence in front of abortion facilities is bad for business.

That's why so many abortion centers schedule temporary closures during a 40 Days for Life campaign for remodeling, staff training, or employee vacations.

Warren, Ohio, campaign leader Mary said Planned Parenthood was closed on what is normally a very busy business day.

The sole employee who showed up to work to do paperwork told Mary that workers need to take vacations once in a while. One client was turned away--even though she claimed to have an appointment!

A man pulled up in a truck, told vigil participants he owned the building, and encouraged them to get out of the cold because the location was closed.

Mary informed him that women should be going to federally qualified health centers instead of abortion businesses, but the man responded that he opposes government-funded health centers.

"I asked him who he thought funded Planned Parenthood," Mary reported. "He declined to take more information from me, but I am confident that I got him thinking and will pray that he looks into this business again and sees it for what it is."

Planned Parenthood was closed the next two days as well!

Spring Valley, New York

Eileen, the longtime 40 Days for Life leader from Spring Valley, learned that Planned Parenthood was recently closed on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!

Upon inquiring why the facility was closed, she learned the abortion center was having trouble finding a "clinician."

El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain

The El Puerto de Santa Maria campaign reported that the abortion facility ends the lives of 15-20 babies every Monday and Friday.

But the numbers dropped dramatically once the 40 Days for Life vigil began. And on one recent Friday, neither the abortionist nor any clients showed up!

Campaign leaders across the Golden State have repeatedly reported their local abortion facilities to be unexpectedly closed.

"FPA is CLOSED today!" reported Lynda in Downey.

The next day, Hilda from Santa Maria reported her local Planned Parenthood was CLOSED.

A few days later, abortion facilities across the Los Angeles area were CLOSED, including in Upland, Lakewood, and Downey (again!).

Last week, Wynette in Sacramento shared that her local Planned Parenthood facility was CLOSED. The facility also scaled back its business hours further, as it is now CLOSED on Sundays.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

--Revelation 21:4-5

Father, you are the God of hope. Your word fills us with the vision of the world to come, when every tear will be wiped away and death will be no more. Father, how we need that hope, how we are strengthened by that vision! Keep our hearts focused on heaven and diligent in the labors of earth. As we struggle against the culture of death, root our souls in the assurance of victory.
