Pamela Delgado was riding the bus in Bogota, Colombia when her heart was broken by an advertisement for abortion.

While abortion is technically unconstitutional in Colombia, broadly interpreted exceptions to the prohibition mean that abortion is effectively legal in the country.

It's also widespread. One neighborhood has dozens of abortion facilities!

But Pamela let her broken heart move her to pray and to take action. Since starting the first 40 Days for Life campaign in Colombia, Pamela has spread the vigil to 43 cities across the country.

On this episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, Shawn Carney and Robert Colquhoun talk with Pamela about how:

  • U.S. abortion policy impacts abortion-vulnerable moms and babies in her country

  • Pamela lost two thirds of her team who felt 40 Days for Life was too hard...but how persistence led to her campaign not only thriving, but also becoming a national force

  • Clergy in Bogota doubted that 40 Days for Life could work there...but it did, saving more than 400 lives from abortion!

Pamela's story proves that with God all things are possible, even--and especially--when the odds are stacked against us.
