Sidewalk Outreach Orientation with Love Life

Wednesday, November 19th

Love Life has an outreach ministry that works at the Bellingham PP. Irene and Tami have gone up there and observed how they do things and report that their method is incredibly effective. They are doing an orientation next Wed, 19 Nov from 9-10:30, where we can observe them in action. I have signed up and was told I can bring other members of our team. If you would like to carpool, I can pick you up at Cornerstone at 8 am.

Address: 1326 N Garden St Bellingham, WA 98225, US

Time: 9:00 AM

Special Community Outreach, Skagit Regional Health

Tuesday, November 25th

We are planning a couple special events with the goal of informing the public that abortions in Mount Vernon do not just happen at Planned Parenthood. We found out in January that Skagit Valley Hospital had started doing abortions, we heard at the residency clinic on 13th. Then, just before this past campaign started, we encountered a mother with an abortion appointment at the Skagit Regional Health clinic at Station Square (behind Wendy’s and 7-Eleven at the Kincaid exit of I-5). So now we know of two other facilities providing abortions within a few miles of our vigil location! By drilling down on their websites it clearly states that they provide both surgical and chemical (pill) abortions. The general public needs to know this! So we are organizing outreach events on the sidewalks outside these facilities with the goal of letting the community know they are providing abortions, then the public can decide if they want to continue getting care there. In order to get the word out to as many people as possible I think it is important to have a six-hour presence on each day of the special events (see below, 25 Nov and 19 Dec). We will have 1.5 hour shifts; 9-10:30, 10:30-noon, noon-1:30, and 1:30-3. See the event dates below. Email, text and call me to sign up for a shift. Let’s strive for 4 people per shift!
