Good day to all volunteers for the fourth annual 40 Days For Life prayer vigil!! Our goal is to:
- pray to END the sale of the abortion pill regimen at Walgreens, Hyvee, Walmart and CVS in Quincy .
- pray to end abortion in our state, country and world!
Over 65% of all abortions are chemical/medication . The abortion pill regimen is used to kill a child in the womb of their mother up to 11 weeks gestation. Currently, this chemical/medical abortion makes up >65% of all abortions. All pharmacies have access to fill these prescriptions. There are also telemedicine prescriptions and even worse; mail order prescriptions without any contact with the woman or man who is filling out an application and stock piling these med. Women are encouraged to have these medicines on hand in advance of a pregnancy
No ultrasound to check for ectopic pregnancy and other potential problems, no assessment of coercion or pressure from others, no blood testing for Rh Factor etc No FDA oversight.
Women, again , are treated with neglect.

All participants will sign a "Statement of Peace" pledge with their first sign up of hours on this website.
Local rules to follow:
Do not park in the Walgreens parking lot. Park near 1817 Spring street where there will be a container on the front porch with signs to carry. The sign "Pray to End Abortion" is the primary sign.
Do not obstruct the sidewalk. Must pace/walk on sidewalk or sit/stand on grass area on 18th st. (Bring a chair). We are not allowed in the parking lot. BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE DRIVEWAYS. STOP AND LOOK ALL DIRECTIONS.
Do not approach anyone but do say "Good Morning, afternoon" etc with pleasant voices. If a person wants to speak with us, only one volunteer should communicate why we are there and hand out 40daysforlife flyer. All else continue to pray. If harrassed, stay peaceful and do not engage. If necessary, call the police department. I have spoken with the police chief and the department is respectful of our efforts.
