Notes

Dear 40DFL Prayers,

Yes we are 40DFL 365 but we still count our original fall vigil, September 28-November 6, 2022 as a time when our regulary prayers will return to the sidewalk. Please join us once again to pray for the unborn and their parents, and the abortion workers (we have nearly an entire new staffing at PP because all but five original workers from our spring vigil have left PP!).

Note on your calendar our traditional special event days--

- 9:00-11:00 am, Saturday, October 2, 2022, Opening Rally, Worship with Pastor David Tamala

- 7:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, October 15, 2022, Mid-prayer Candlelight Vigil, Worship with Kevin

- 9:00-11:00 am, Saturday, November 5, 2022, Closing Rally, Worship with Pastor David Tamala

We cannot wait to see what God will do this coming fall vigil!

Blessings in Christ,

-Anne

Rejoice! After nearly 50 years of cumulitive prayer, Roe has been overturned!  Your prayers and so many of those before us have been a part of this historical decision!

And here is some of the commentary --
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg among her peers said that “Roe was illogical and bad law from the day it was decided.” Justice Samuel Alito said, “It is time to heed the Constitution, the Constitution confers no right of abortion. Bashing its logic into the rights of privacy.” The justices continued that “Abortion is not deeply rooted in our history or tradition. It is not deeply rooted in our Constitution. Roe was abuse of judicial authority, raw judicial power, egregiously wrong from the start, exceptionally weak reasoning with damaging consequences. We return the authority to the people and their elected representatives.  Roe was always on a collision course with itself from the day it was decided. And Casey merely perpetuated its errors by short-circuiting the democratic process.”

The three dissenting Supreme Court justices stated that abortion is “sad, it is emotional” they did not address the logic or the illogic for Roe. They gave no proof for abortion being part of tradition in the U.S. If the dissent was read, a person would not even know what the case was about. There was no argument for Roe to stand.

Glory to God for this testimony heard and Roe reversed!

So what do we do in Hawaii where abortion to nine months of pregnancy was made legal, part of the State Constituion before Roe passed? We keep doing what we do best -- praying on the sidewalk!! Being the grassroots support to those who are praying "God give me a sign if you don't want me to have my abortion"; for the abortion workers to be set free and walk in freedom with our Lord; praying for healing for those who have had an abortion; praying for our pregnancy centers and all citizens of Hawaii would seek and know the truth of abortion and the giant marketing campaign to make money behind them. And ultimately to pray that the abortion law will be reversed in Hawaii. If the Roe law was wrong for the U.S. on a federal level when why would this change on a state level?

The natural response to Roe's overtuning is that we in Hawaii are going 365! Yes, 40 Days for Life 365! We will still hold our twice yearly vigils in the spring and fall with the same fanfare and church announcements but for those who want to be on the sidewalk, please come join us!

So please, commit your once weekly hour(s) of prayer please. Invite a friend(s).

Plese join us to fast, provide community outreach, and peacefully pray. Prayer changes the lives of all we pray for. It changes each of us who participate, a gift we receive when praying for one or more hours on the sidewalk.

Prayer Vigil Location: The public right-of-way (the sidewalk) outside of Planned Parenthood of Honolulu, 839 S. Beretania Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813

Thank you all for hearing the calling of our Lord and making the time and commitment to come and pray.  We are witnessing history in the making and we need to pray with our brothers and sisters across the US and around the world!

In Christ,

-Anne

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:18-20

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:7-8

"David said to the Philistine, 'You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defiled.'" 1 Samuel 17:45
