The three elements of 40 Days for Life are prayer and fasting ? constant vigil ? and community outreach.

When it comes to community outreach, the team in Gherla, Romania outdid themselves.

For their midpoint rally, they staged a flash mob at a local market -- singing and carrying posters ? accompanied by guitars, mandolin and drum. And the local news covered it!

People shopping for fruit and vegetables were greeted by messages such as "real men protect life" ? "worth fighting for" ? and "let us pray for an end to abortion." One child held a sign that read, "my father, my hero."

A priest who was there called it ?a prayer ? chanted blessings for our city, our country.?

Stefana, the local 40 Days for Life coordinator, told the media that the campaign?s success is ?proof that Gherla will not remain indifferent to the problems that afflict contemporary society ? and that a small town can take action when values are threatened.?

You don?t need to understand Romanian to enjoy the video!
