Congress has repeatedly failed to defund the abortion industry...

...but one 40 Days for Life campaign has cost its local abortion business seven figures' worth of income--despite persecution!

In Milwaukee, longtime leaders Dan and September said that 18.5% of abortion clients at their local abortion facility have chosen life since March 2. And that doesn't count the women who chose life without saying a word!

"We have cost them more than thirty-five thousand dollars so far in this campaign," Dan noted.

"Since 2010, we have cost them more than a million greenbacks," Dan continued, basing the figure on low-end abortion prices listed on the facility's website.

But not every story has a happy ending. One abortion client refused the Milwaukee team's offer of help, shouting, "F--- that, I'm killing my baby! This baby is good as gone."

And one passerby "baptized" Dan with a vanilla milkshake. He laughed it off: "My dry-cleaning bill is going to be insane this month!"

Still, the tremendous impact the Milwaukee vigil is having on the abortion business must be taking a toll.

"We're praying for them to close!" September said.

Rogers, Arkansas

The Rogers, Arkansas, 40 Days for Life team prays in front of a Planned Parenthood facility that relocated to the community last fall after losing its lease in nearby Fayetteville.

The campaign welcomed former Planned Parenthood manager Ramona Trevino to share her conversion story at a recent campaign rally.

Actually, Ramona spoke at two rallies. "We were doubly blessed from her witness in Spanish on Saturday evening and then again in English on Sunday afternoon," said Sheila, the local campaign leader.

Ramona's story confirmed the power of peaceful prayer. "I knew when I left [my job at Planned Parenthood], I could approach them because they were always so peaceful and friendly," Ramona said of the 40 Days for Life volunteers who prayed in front of her former workplace. "They even smiled at me."

Ramona wrote today's prayer devotional, so check it out below!

Orange, California

Orange leader Kristina said several moms bring their children out to pray every week. "They bring joy!" she noted.

Surely, this little guy is a powerful reminder of the goodness of life. His mom prays each week--and his dad on the weekends.

"He may be the next Orange leader," Kristina said. "He's got my vote!"

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction so that we may be able to encourage those who are in an affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God.

--2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love, mercy, and goodness. We praise you for the gift of life and the conviction to defend it at all stages. Father, give us the grace to walk alongside of and pray for those poor souls who are so greatly afflicted in their souls. Help us to be compassionate, but bold and courageous, as we defend what is true and just. As the division in our world increases, let us be the unitive light that draws souls to your goodness, love and mercy. Amen.
