As the cultural and political climates heat up, one thing is clear. The abortion industry is hurting.

Over the last few years, we have seen record growth of peaceful, prayerful 40 Days for Life campaigns ... and record numbers of abortion facilities CLOSING their doors and going out of business!

Locations in Dubuque and Miami are the 72nd and 73rd abortion businesses that have shut their doors after 40 Days for Life prayer vigils were held outside.

To God be all the glory!

Earlier this year, Planned Parenthood announced plans to shutter its location in Dubuque, where four 40 Days for Life prayer vigils were held on the sidewalk outside. However, the abortion chain said it would remain in business until it sold the building ? and it continued to offer the highly controversial ?webcam? abortions.

Just last week, the closure became official, and Dubuque County Right to Life, which coordinated the 40 Days for Life campaigns there, shared a picture of the notice that was posted on Planned Parenthood?s front door.

The abortion giant, they noted, was ?Closed, locked, gone!?

Miami, Florida

Archbishop Thomas Wenski led prayer at a victory celebration this past Saturday outside the now-closed Choice for Women abortion center. In all, there were seven 40 Days for Life vigils outside this business.

?It was indeed a celebration,? said one of the Miami volunteers. ?No more will unborn children lose their lives there; no more will women and their partners suffer the aftermath of their disastrous decisions.?

However, she added, ?we must never forget the sweet souls who were denied their right to live their God-given lives in this place of death, nor their parents who carry the weight and scars of their decisions for the rest of their lives.?

This has happened 73 times now ? and it?s because people of faith have stepped forward to speak out for those who can?t speak for themselves.

Just ask Steve Karlen, the 40 Days for Life North American campaign director.

Steve is a "regular guy" ... but he came through with a heroic reaction when late-term abortions were on the verge of arriving in his community of Madison, Wisconsin. Steve's faith and courage -- in the midst of the personal crosses he was carrying -- will inspire you in this new 40 Days for Life podcast episode.

Will YOU be the one to step out in faith in your city? The next 40 Days for Life campaign runs September 28 to November 6 ? and applications open in June!
