It's amazing how far a little encouragement can go...especially for women and couples considering abortion.
"I'm happy to report our first save during the spring 2026 campaign--that we know of," said Lisa, who heads up the 40 Days for Life vigil in Denver. "Thanks be to God!"
A couple came to Planned Parenthood seeking information about abortion. It was their second trip to the mega-facility, so their 11-week-old baby was very much in danger of being aborted.
Thankfully, they were also open to a second opinion.
One of Lisa's volunteers engaged the parents in an extended conversation, ultimately leading them to choose life!
"As they left, they drove by waving and smiling," Lisa said. "It is so rare to have both mom and dad willing to engage in dialogue and show support for each other."
YOU can experience the joy of saving a family from abortion--but not from the sidelines.
Today marks the halfway point of our Lenten campaign. Find your local vigil and sign up to pray:

Altamonte Springs, Florida

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner. Marian, the 40 Days for Life leader in Altamonte Springs, is Irish--and she's ready.
"I did an Irish jig at the vigil today," she said. "Why would I do that? A baby was saved!"
Marian said that a young woman came to the abortion facility but never even got out of her vehicle!
"Prayers and fasting prepared the soil of this young woman's heart to respond to God's nudge to leave that horrible place!" Marian said.
Two days later, she had more good news: "I just got off the phone with one of our faithful daily prayer warriors, and ANOTHER baby was saved today! After conversation, the couple indicated they were not going to have the abortion and left."
Ecatepec, Mexico

A woman in Ecatepec told her neighbor that she was pregnant--but could not continue her pregnancy.
Thankfully, that neighbor was a 40 Days for Life volunteer, who shared information about all of the resources available to help her choose life.
"She recognized that a life was growing inside her and has decided to continue with her pregnancy," said Lupita, the Ecatepec leader. "This 'chance encounter' changed two lives forever for the glory of God!"

But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you may not appear to others to be fasting, except to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees what is hidden will repay you.
--Matthew 6:17-18
Heavenly Father, we ask for humility in our prayer and fasting. Help us to place you at the center of our lives so that others will come to know you through our words and deeds. As we continue through these 40 days, help us to listen to your voice, act in accord with your will, and trust in the power of prayer even when we don’t always see the fruits on earth. Amen.
