You never know when a quick translation will save a baby!
St. Paul, Minnesota, 40 Days for Life leaders Rev. Brian Walker and Brian Gibson encourage sidewalk counselors to use translation apps on the sidewalk, because many Planned Parenthood clients are immigrants who don't speak English.
That advice recently came in handy--and saved a life!
When Brian Gibson encountered a couple who spoke only Spanish, he pulled out his phone for assistance in offering free help in their tongue.
The man dropped the woman off at the Planned Parenthood mega-facility anyway and departed. But he returned about ten minutes later, picked her up, and left again.
Brian asked whether their departure meant they had opted against abortion. The woman smiled and confirmed that she would not be having an abortion!
"I had been practicing translating phrases on my app, which came in handy that day," Brian said.

Saltillo Centro, Mexico

An elderly woman told 40 Days for Life participants that they saved her great-granddaughter from abortion!
Two years ago, the woman's granddaughter saw a volunteer praying in front of the abortion facility. The expectant mother had been determined to abort, but after encountering the vigil, she contacted her mother and asked to go home.
As a result, the baby girl will celebrate her first birthday this spring!
"It is a gift from God to receive confirmation of the power of prayer," said Paty, the Saltillo Centro 40 Days for Life leader.
Littleton, Colorado

With construction taking place in the neighborhood, a traffic control technician was on hand to help direct vehicles.
She approached vigil participants to talk--and revealed that she had an abortion when she was just 13 years old!
"Now in her 60s, she said it's taken her decades to come to terms with it," reported 40 Days for Life outreach director Ramona Trevino, who visited Littleton for a prayer rally at a local church. "She told our volunteers this was the first time she'd spoken of it out loud."
Prayer warriors shared post-abortion healing information with her. The woman wasn't ready to pursue those resources...yet. But as she left, she announced, "I'm with you guys!"

Jesus told him, "Have sight; your faith has saved you."
—Luke 18:42
Dear Lord, give us the courage to pray for miraculous healings of body and soul. Extend your mercy to mothers and fathers who have experienced miscarriage. Grant them the peace of your son, and help them to rest in the assurance that they will one day be reunited with their precious children. Amen.
