There's no more thrilling word during a 40 Days for Life campaign than...
...TWINS!
A woman had an appointment to abort her two babies at the notorious late-term abortion facility in Granite City, Illinois.
Just before the double abortion, the pregnant mom's mother noticed 40 Days for Life participants--and asked them to pray for her daughter to change her mind.
"The vigil inspired the grandmother to fight for her grandchildren," explained Rose, the vigil leader.
The very next day, the grandmother returned to the abortion facility to thank 40 Days for Life participants for their prayers...and to confirm that those prayers had been answered.
"She was able to convince her daughter to keep her babies by telling her she was killing a whole generation of their family," Rose explained.
Just like that, two lives were saved, two hearts are still beating, and two branches of a family tree with the potential to extend into the future for countless generations were preserved.
And all because people like YOU decided to sign up to pray at their local 40 Days for Life vigil!

Falls Church, Virginia

Bernadette noticed something unusual during her vigil shift in front of the abortion center.
While the facility is scheduled to open at 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays, one recent Saturday it opened quite a bit earlier--leading Bernadette to wonder whether the abortion business was trying to fit appointments in before 40 Days for Life volunteers showed up.
There's no way to know for sure, but it's not uncommon for abortion businesses to shift their schedules to try to offset the impact of your prayerful witness!

Sometimes a photo says it all...
...and this shot of Jennifer Kendrex from the 40 Days for Life Institute of Law & Justice alongside former abortion provider Dr. Haywood Robinson--on the eve of the 40th anniversary of his conversion to Christianity--speaks volumes!
"40 Days for Life: Helping to bring the light!" reflected Lynnwood campaign leader Rebecca.
Denton, Texas

Michelle was stunned and delighted to find that four or five churches showed up to pray at the same time at the 40 Days for Life vigil she leads in North Texas.
"I feel like I won the lottery today!" she exclaimed. "So uplifting! And lots of positive responses from the drivers passing by!"
The prayer warriors united in a number of prayers before closing in song.

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son."

In your loving arms, heal them from injuries--physical, psychological, and spiritual. Lead them to the best sources of support and healing. Bring comfort to all victims of abuse, and help children conceived in abusive situations to know they are loved by you. Amen.
