The Lindsay Clancy case revealed that motherhood itself is on trial.
Clancy's supporters argue that she is not culpable for killing her three young children. Many of those supporters suggest that the unbearable burden of raising children is to blame.
Recently in Daily Signal, I wrote about how the sacrifices that accompany motherhood don't diminish the dignity of women--they enhance it!

Sign up to pray for an end to abortion at 40daysforlife.com/locations
Winston-Salem, North Carolina

A woman in the Winston-Salem abortion facility parking lot rolled down her window and called out to the 40 Days for Life volunteers.
"I am not going to kill my baby that is 18 weeks," she announced. "God bless you for what you are doing."
Another woman said that she had been praying for a sign not to have an abortion. Two hours after entering Planned Parenthood, she too announced that she was keeping her baby! She and her husband have two children and will now welcome a third.
A third woman with out-of-state plates walked out of the abortion facility and went straight to a pregnancy help center instead. She left smiling...and a later update confirmed that she chose life!
"Our 40 Days for Life participation rates are really up!" Catherine wrote. "Even the pregnancy resource center...has noted that!"
Mission Viejo and Orange, California

It's horrific to think that abortion facilities would ever open on Sundays...
...but two Planned Parenthood facilities in Orange County are now closed on the Lord's Day!
Nancy, Daniele, and Carol arrived early one Sunday morning and found the parking lot completely empty. Both facilities' websites now list them as closed on Sundays.
"We are seeing the impact of our peaceful, prayer presence at Planned Parenthood!" Alejandra wrote.
Basel, Switzerland

A young woman approached the Basel vigil to argue that abortion is justified when a baby has a disability.
One of the vigil participants took her aside and talked through numerous issues: disability, rape, illness, and drugs. She told the woman about the counseling available and how beautiful it is when a woman in a crisis pregnancy finds her way to saying "yes" to life.
"Both allowed the other to finish speaking, and they parted ways peacefully," the Basel team wrote.

And Jesus wept.
--John 11:35
Lord, grant us the courage to weep. Let our tears mingle with yours and with parents who have lost a child. Grant them the solace of your peace, the confidence that their son or daughter is interceding for them in heaven, and the hope that they will be reunited in eternity. Amen.
