God is never outdone in generosity.
That became evident on Florida's Gulf Coast, where the Fort Myers 40Days for Life team opened this fall campaign by persevering through a torrential downpour...
...and have since been blessed by the news that FOUR babies have been spared from abortion in response to their prayers!
Lawndale, California
A father pulled over at the Lawndale 40 Days for Life vigil to say "thank you" because the presence of pro-lifers saved the life of his 10-year-old daughter!
He and his wife had already aborted two children. When she got pregnant again, they went to an abortion facility because they were poor and didn't think they could provide for the baby. A gentleman outside convinced them to keep the child.
Their daughter is now 10, and he's so grateful to have her! They went on to have three more children too.
The couple regret the earlier abortions. A senior volunteer assured the man that God's mercy is endless.
"Your presence on the sidewalk does make a difference!!" Lawndale leader Laura told her volunteers.
Glenwood Springs, Colorado
A dad came to the Glenwood Springs 40 Days for Life vigil with a request: Help him teach his kids about abortion!
His own mother chose life for him, even though his father wanted her to have an abortion. Now he has several kids in middle and high school, and he wants them to understand the issue.
Volunteers talked with him for about half an hour. They answered his questions, explained the difference between Planned Parenthood and the local pregnancy center, and gave him our books, What to Say When and What to Say When 2!
"We appreciate learning that others are noticing," Michael wrote.
When he returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Most sweet Jesus, my heart aches for your suffering and loneliness in the garden of Gethsemane. Let me never fall asleep again when you so lovingly ask for my company. When I feel alone and afraid, remind me that you are with me and that you feel the pain that I feel. Keep me close to you on this 40-day journey and strengthen me through your blood and tears.
