Puebla is in the midst of its first 40 Days for Life campaign, and the team there has gotten a bit of media attention about their vigil.

Laura, the local coordinator, told the publication that while abortion may only be legal in Mexico?s capital, ?abortion in Mexico City affects the whole country.?

As for women considering abortion, Laura said it?s not unusual for them to feel like they are alone while they are thinking about the future. But the 40 Days for Life vigil can show them they are not alone ? and that they do have support.

The volunteers can show them that abortion is not the only option ? and in fact there are much better options that will have a significantly better outcome.

She said the vigil is also bringing the message of healing to those who?ve had abortions. ?It is never too late to seek God and find him,? she said, and the volunteers are always ready to listen respectfully to their stories.
