Ruby in Falls Church says 40 Days for Life volunteers spoke to a young man walking towards the abortion center, asking if he knew someone who was there for an abortion.

He said he did, and he was waiting for her. In fact, he'd been waiting a very long time and she never showed up. He didn't know why.

The vigil participants had to believe their prayer presence convinced the woman to be a "no show" for her appointment. They're praying she does not return.

Volunteers were also able to speak to a mother and daughter coming in for a pregnancy test. They warned them that abortion is not safe, and told the story of a recent ambulance call at the abortion center.

The two women went inside, remained only briefly, and then left.

This is why a faithful prayer presence is so important!
